Introductions and the Big Why

For this first article I wanted to take some time to introduce who I am, why I started Padawan Unlimited, and where I see this company going into the future.

I am an avid Star Wars fan and have been for decades. Some of my fondest childhood memories are from watching the original trilogy every day every summer while I was in elementary school. I would fall asleep to the sounds of lightsaber battles or try to keep my eyes open as the Ewoks helped defeat the Empire.

Fast forward to March of 2024! I encouraged some friends (and my wife) to visit a local game store (LGS) with me and I saw a large group of people playing cards branded with Star Wars imagery. I had accidentally stumbled into a pre-release event for Set 1, Spark of Rebellion, for Star Wars Unlimited (SWU)!

Giddy with excitement I bought a starter deck and 4 booster packs. I fell in love with the game (even though I played it totally wrong for the first dozen games). A few months later I started the Padawan Unlimited Podcast© and never looked back.

Here, almost a year later, I’ve fully committed to the SWUniverse to help grow this amazing game and community. Stay tuned to the Podcast, YouTube channel, and this site for a wide variety of content. As Padawan Unlimited grows I hope to offer more products and services.
