So, the first Sector Qualifier for Star Wars Unlimited (SWU) is this weekend, 29 and 30 March in Milan, Italy and I am fortunate to have the opportunity to participate in this tournament.
If you’re new to SWU, the Sector Qualifier is the next stage of competitive play after Planetary Qualifiers, and this is the first time they’re doing this. There will be Sector and Regional Qualifiers in Europe and North America over the next couple of months. Up to 1000 players play in a two-day event to see who can reign supreme!
I haven’t practiced with my deck as much as I would have liked, but that’s ok. In the past, I’ve always tried to play at least 100 games with my chosen deck before any competition and I almost exclusively have played off-meta decks such as Rey Vigilance or Obi-Wan Command. This time around, I’m playing less, but higher quality games with meta decks. We’ll see how this new, leaner preparation strategy goes!
This is the first time I’ll be participating in such a large tournament and I’m extremely excited! I’m mostly going for the experience, which I will be faithfully recording and then sharing on the YouTube channel next week. Going to try this vlogging thing and show you all what the Milan Sector experience is truly like. 😊
